Mrs. (has. Schoen i9 entertaining friends. Frank Sharpey, of Vassar, was home last week. Mrs. Collins is home from her stay at Concord. Mr. Sidel, of Milan, spent Sunday with friends. K. Smith was in Pinckney on business, Monday. Mr. Smith and family are now residents of Birkett. A. Rogers will erect a new house on G street this tall. Fred Wymau has purchased Mrs Mahoney's house. Chas. Morris and wife were Detroit visitors last week. Will Boston, of Nashville, is spendiiiK the week here. Ilenry Scheiferstein and family are home from Detroit. Chris Lavey called on Pinckney friends Friday last. ]Jorn. to Mr. and Mrs. James Story, Sept. 21, 1894, a son. E. Envin and wife are entertainiug friends from Canada. John McDonald U entertaining his brother for a few days. Mrs. Dwyer and family are preparing to move to Ypsilanti. Will Dolan and sister spent the Sabbatb in Livingston county. Mrs. Riggins and children are home from their Aun Arbor visit. S. Blomfleld. of Morenci, is home for the winter with his parents. Miss Ida Dixon will spend the winter in Chicago, with hef auat. Jolin Dancer lias accepteda position as cierk in J. Croarkin's store. Quite a number from here attended the fair at Aun Arbor this week. Miss Maude Goodrich has returned from Blissfield and Ottawa Lake. Rev. Fr. Kleming has been visitiiiK friends at Port Hurón and Detroit. Jrs. Theo. Ilaab spent the past week in Detroit and attended the fair. Dr. Copeland and wife, of Bay City, suent the Sabbath with their parents. Mr. T.Yo'd, of Chelsea. was bnyiug beans tiirough this section iast week. Mrs. A. II. Watson is entertaining lier sister, Mrs. ï. J. Ritter, fruui Ohio. F!oyd Van Riper and daughter. Clara, of Fowlerville, visited here last week. Prof. E. N. tSilbie, of Ann Arbor, was on out streets the tirst of the week. Andrew Straith, wife ad daughter speut Saturday aud Sunday in Ann Arbor. Mrs. Lynch and daughter, of Putnam, were the guests of Mrs. P. Lavey last week. Miss Gertrude Carpenter was entertained by Pettysville friends one day last week. Mrs. Denn is home, after several months' stay with her daughter in St. Louis, Mo. Miss Ollie Morris has gone to Detroit, after several weeks' visit with her parents. Burt Hudson and family are hrae, after spending the summer with Jaukson relatives. Business called Messrs. Plimpton and Bauman, of Pinckney, here one day last week. Farmers are quite busy, at this writing, cultivating the soil for the sowing of their wheat. Mr. Serviss and family have returned to Ann Arbor, after spending the summer at the lakes. Mrs. F. Carpenter and Cynthia Carpenter were entertained by friends at Hamburg, Friday. Mrs. J. Parmlee and son, of Waco, Texas, are guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Pratt, Sr. Jay Asquith and mother, of Stockbridge. have been spending a few days with their many friend3 here. Rev. C. E. Conley, tjupt. of State Missions, preached at the Baptist church last Sabbath morning.
