Boat Propelled By A Turbine Wheel

Several trials have beeu made on the Elbe with a boat propelled not by the ordinary screw, which replaced the paddie wheel, bnt by means of a turbine wheel. The inventor, Herr Zenner, states that a much greater speed can be obtaiued than with the screw, because the friction is mnch less. Three boats have already been constructed on this pattern. -
