St. Louis, Sept. 27.- The reat, all-powerful Tong society, whose inembers are commonly knowa as highbinders, has decreed that the law of the state of Missouri shali not be enforced in the case oL the attempted murder of Lee Jong by Fuug Lou. Ad agreenaent written in the strange hieroglyphics of the Chinese language has buen drawn up, the contract specifying that Fung Lou shall pay a stipulated sum to Lae Jong for a number of years, and that L.-e Jong shall exorcise and permanently reoiov the devü which he put in Fung Lou. The crime which Fung Lou committed is a felony by the code of this state, but the Tong society would rather settle the matter itself, and it seems that the pólice are p?rfectly willing ior the society to do so.
