Maryland Bankers In Council
BalTIMOBB, Oct. 11.- ïhe Marylaml Bankers' association is in session here. The welcoming address was made by Mayor Latrobe. The ftrst paper was one by Myron T. Herrick, of Cleveland, ou "The Newspaper Press and lts Influenee on Finance in 1894." He said it was a mixed Messing, the policy oí some papers helping to aggravate the trouble, while others helped the other way. An amendment to the national banking act was the most important business presented to the meeting. It will be presented to oongrees with a petition for lts adoption. It is very intricate in its provisions. The day was largely devotcd to reading of papers.
