Pkoiíia, Hls., Nov. 1.- Vice President Stevonson, ex-Governor Campbell, of Ohio, and the Hon. William R. Morrison wore the guosts of the local Democracy. 'hoy arrived here In the morning and were met at the station by reception ommittoes. They were driven to the sTational hotel, where they made their eadquarters, and during the day many f their friends eaüed to see them. In the fternoon a meeting was held In the Grand Opera House, 1,700 people boing present. Frank J. Quinn, the assistant state's attorney, was chairman and Introduced the vico president, who for throoquarters of im hour talked of the tariff, the Lncorae tax, and showed what the Democratio party had done sinco coming int') power. Morrison foüowed with a lengthy mldress, and ex-Gevernor Campbell re sponded to loud calis. Last night thcre was a parade nearly a mlle long, delegations belng present from Iiacon, Pekin', Hanna City, and other placos. ïhe demonstration was followed by anothormeetIng at the üpera House, ex-Governor Campbell being the principal speaker. He was followed by others with short addressíís.
