Dr. Mary L. Angevin at the recent Halifax W. C. T. U. meeting said: "I protest against any colleotion of men, however anxious they may be to make all laws in the interests of the weaker sex, however anxious to advance the canse of morality, however anxious to care for the public weal, being my substitute. I prefer to bo the exponent of my own conscience. Amenable to the lavrs of Nova Sootia, intimately connected with Nova Scotia, I deruand recognition as a citizen of Nova Scotia. "
