The family of Hon. Wellington l. Burt, of Saginaw, are guests of he Arlington. W. M. Osband, of Ypsilanti, was n the city, Monday. !. W. Hoover, of the Chelsea Standard, was n the city, Monday. Mrs. Warren, aunt of Airs. A. L. SToble, is with her to pass the win ter. Mrs. Dr. Swartz and Mrs. Kdd Sheridan, of Hamburg, were Ann Arbor visitors Tuesday. Miss Emnia Bower was in Grand Rapids this week. Rev. Henry Tatlock visited Detroit Monday. A hard cold, assessed upon Assessor O'Hearn, sent him to bed Monday. Mrs. Alfred Booth bas returned from Jackson. Mrs. Dr. Heartley has returned from a visit with her daughter ia Milwaukee. José Tebyrica, of Rio Janeiro, Brazil, a correspondent of the I,ondon Times, is at large in Ann Arbor, and a guest of the Arlington. Geo. Grist, of Detroit, was the guest of Caspar Rinsey. Tuesday. Miss Pier, of Flint, is the guest of her aunt, Mrs. W. I'. Baillie, of S. Thayer street. Rev. George Yoegtling, a former missionary of Hong Kong, China, is the guest of Rev. John Neumann. Dr. C. Georg and Dr. Wessinger attended the recent Russel house reception given by the Detroit Medical society in honor of Dr. Maclean. Karl Harriman has returned frora Chicago. Miss Ida Lathrop left Tuesday to psss a few months in Port Huron. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Nickels have returned from Milwaukee. Drs. Vaughan and Nancrede attended the reception to Dr. Donald MacLean at the Russell house, Detroit, Tuesday. Mrs. Xathan Drake and Miss Martha Drake are improving from a recent illness. Mrs. W. A. Clark is recovering from an illness of the past two weeks. Mrs. Dr. Frank Brown is visiting her mother-inlaw, Mrs. Lola Brown. Mrs. G. Smith, of Detroit, is visiting Mrs. Sidney Smith., Mr. and Mrs. James L. Babcock will entertain their friends tomorrow evening at their residence, corner of N. División and E. Ann street. Tvlrs Andrew J. Sawyer and Mrs. Reuben Kempf will give a reception Monday evening to Gov. and Mrs. John T. Rich. Miss Eunice Page Parker, late a guest of her aunt, Mrs. Eunice Kitredge, left Tuesday for her hame in Frankfort. John O. Thompson, of the Dexter Leader, was a county seat caller, Monday. Emanuei Allmendinger is again with Bach & Roath. M. C. Burch, of Grand Rapids, was in the city, Tuesday. Mrs. f. Diehl and Mrs. Adam Meuth were visiting in Bridgewater the first of the week.
