Wednesday, last week, was I. O. O. F. day. Past Grand Patriarch Jonathan Sprague, of Ann Arbor, resusitated Milán Encampment, No. .75, under a new number, 124, for the Grand Patriarch, assisted by Patriarchs from Ann Arbor Encamproent, No. 75, and the Cantón No. 30, from the same place. The work was done in an impressive manner and the following officers were elected for Encampment 124: Chief Priest, C. M. Blackmer; High Priest, Alfred Davenport; Senior Warden, A. G. Mclntyre; Junior Warden, W. A. Mead; Scribe, J. S. .Bray; Treasurer, Thomas Redman. Mr. and Mts. Chas. Minto, of 'Corunna, are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Minto and Mr. and Mrs. ' Thurlow Blackmer. Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Kelley are entertaining guests from Toledo. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Whitmarsh entertained a few friends Thanksgiving. Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Zimmerman are entertaining guests from Toledo. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Sill and Alma, Mr. and Mrs. Honier Sill and children were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Hoyt, at Saline, the last of the week. Mr. and Mrs. McMahon are entertaining guests from out of town. Mr. and Mrs. Bell entertained Mrs. Yager, of Saline, last week. Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Fuller, of the Macon, spent several days with Mi;tan friends. ;s Speriy and Miss Mutchel, of An Arbor, were the guests of Att'y .ind Mrs. G. R. Williams, Saturday. Mr. and Airs. Ed. Minckley reiurned Friday from their Belleville sojourn. Mr. and Mrs. Bcrnap are entertaining friends from Carlton. Mrs. Egner is spending a few days li friends in Detroit. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Rouse returned Saturday trom their Lodi visit. School comtnenced Monday with ' a good attendance, after the Thanksgivitig vacation. 'l'he Baptist ladies held their tea social at the residenca of Mrs. Chas. Schmitt, on Counly Street, VVednesday p. m. Miss Vreeland, the elocutionist, held forth at the M. K. church, under the auspices of the Epworth League, Tuesday evening. The Daúghters of Rebeccah net ted nearly $34 at their recent social. Rev. and Mrs. J. Ward Stone are entertaining their son and family, from Kalatnazoo, this week. Mrs. J. Sprague returned to Ann Arbor Thursday a. rn. J. Steidle and wife were Delray visitors last week. Mrs. Roscoe Allen gave a partyin honor of her husband's fortieth birthday, Tuesday, last week. Mrs. Mary Wallace is at home again, after a three months' visit with friends in the East. Miss A. Sill is visiting friends in Azalia. D. Hitchcock and wife have returned from their Carlton visit. Mrs. Alma and Miss Alice Allen returned last week from their Detroit visit. Mrs. Charles Gauntlett is on the sick list. Mrs. J. C. Harper is entertaining guests from Grass Lake. Prof. and Mrs. W. Babcock, of the Agricultural College, were in town last week. Chas. Clark and wife entertained guests from out of town, last week. Mrs. Quirch entertained guests from abroad, the first part of the week.
