It seems almost incredible that young men pretending to be civilized and holding themselves up as swell snobs of the town, should get down to so contemptibly low as to steal the porcelain sign letters off the windows. Yet a couple of student s - tony puppies too - have been at that sort of business and been caught. Bpth were arrested at the Cook house, Tuesday night and some of the bloat taken out of them by the payment of such a contribution, in order to settle the affair, as will teach them that the tariff on porcelain letters is a tax. They are understood to have paid $6o or $70 for their cute little trick. The Argus would cheerfully publish their names if it could get them.
