Perry, dated Fort Stanton: "Captured Bill Cook, oí Oklahoma territory, this morning. Will taku hini from here to Roswell, thence to Oklahoma territory.' Cook is the leader of the band that has been terrorizing the Indian Torritory for the last few months. Ros well, X. M., Jan. 14 -Desperado Bill (Jook wás captured in Yates corral near Sebe ürays, tve miles from Fort Stunton by Slieriff Perry, of Rosswell. Ho wa placed in Rosswell jail and has been Identiflod by severnl persons. In fact, he does not deny his identity, but says ho has never killed a man, uor robbod a poor man except when in absolute neod. He denies that he was In a tenth of the robberies where he was reported and says ho never robbed a bank, conflning hlraself exclnsively to railways.
