The senate programme for the ri-in.iinder of the session is to follow tho sundry civil bilí, the consideration ot which bogan today, with the logislative, executive and judicial bilí, and tlien to tako up tlic naval bill, and lastly the general degcieney appropriation bill. While it is understood that there will probably be spasmodic attempts to get np other measures of general importance, the best opinión is that none of these will be sucoessful in case8 where there is objection. It is possible that Butler will renew bis cfforts in behalf of the pooling bill aud that Guorge will also again attempt to resiore the bankruptcy bill to its position as the uníÍDished business; but it is not in the least probable that tiie efforts of either will be suceessful. Kaulknor i also hopeful of securing a brief consideración of the territorial admission bilis, but there is no lunger a possibility of passing these bilis. An order has already boon made for a night session toiuorrow lor the consideration of bilis to which thero are no objections. The probabilities innlude night sessious every night ai'tur toniorrow, continuing virtually through the nights of Saturday and tíunday, and also a session next Sunday during the day. These, it is tel ie ved, will bo held to dispose of the appropriation bilis, there being many provisions in those remaining unconsidered wliich may lead to prolonged debate. There is also a probability of debate over the next report of the conference coinmittee on the diplomatic bill, involving the appropriation for the Hawaiian cable. There is not much iu the legislativo bilí to lead to debate, but the other three bilis all contain provisions which, if they are not withdrawn, are sure to cause sharp discussion. It is intiinated that the certifícate amondment to the sundry civil bill may be withdrawn. If it is it will sinipiify the situation soinewhat, but there will be material for many speeches and reasons for prolonged sessions. Senators do not consider the outlook discouraging, however, and they predict that the bilis will all be passed by the time fixed by tlie constitutioi) for adjournment.
