Next Sunday is Easter. Johu Bross is building a duck boat for Eugene Hall, of Aun Arbor. The last entertainment of the Dexter leoture course was given Tuesday evening. John McGuinness, of Piiikcney, is moving on a farm near Chelsea. James Gallagher was in Detroit reeently and parchased a fine sail boat. Carlton Van Riper, of Fowlerville, and Hany Ellerby, of Albiou, spent Tuesday with W. Taylor. Mrs. Hattie Stevens and daughter Ida, of Mason, are visiting old frieods. George Boyden and wife entertained friends the past few days. Mrs. Laura Aldrich, of Howell, spent the week here. E. A. Campbell and fainily have moved in the Mallory house. Mrs. L. Tyler and Miss Snsie Kenny, of Hillsdale, were entertained by Dexter friends over Suuday. Misses Jeasie Doaiie and Myrtie Bostwick were in Aun Arbor severa! days last weck. Joseph Bal!, of Ann Arbor, spent the Sabbath with H. M. Phelps. AnsHu Warren is back from Ypsill!lti. Miss Nellie Copeland was home from the Normal over Sunday. William Cui-lett is to have a píate Klaas window in his store. Dr. W. E. C. Wright, of Cleveland, addressed the people of this village Thursday. The Crescent club are preparing to give a dance at the Opera house Monday evening, April 15. The Ladies' Aid society of the Baptist Church, met with Mrs. E. Miles Wedue.sday. Mrs. M. E. Sill eutertaiued the Willing Workers at her home Wednesday. A. A. Buckalew aud wife celebrated theii1 golden wedding anniversary last Monday, April 1. Misses Kate Harris and Anna Dunlavey have entered the Dexter high school. Miss Buchanau spent last week in Chelsea. Thomas James was iu Ann Arbor Tuesday last. Miss B. Cushman is home from Chelsea. Mrs. E. Bostwick was the guest of Aun Arbor frieuds the past week. Mrs. C. C. James gave a very pleasatit party at her home Mouday eveuing. Frauk Buchauau has returned home. Sea Staffan and Miss M. Wood, of Chelsea, oalled here Tuesday. Henry Vau Fleot and wife, of Detroit, were in fcown last week. Charles Stebbins is able' to be out again. Miss Minnie Vau Buren is teaching in the Parker district in Lima. R. A. Beals and Miss Munia, of Ami Arbor, spent the Sabbath in town. J. S. Burdette was at the Opera house Tuesday eveuing. Miss Nelliè Larkin, of Pettysville, has been visiting her sister. Mrs. Frank Conklin entertained her sister last week. Misses Minnie Rieder and Bertha Ferris were in Detroit last week. D. O. Vau Buren, of Ypsilauti, was on onr streets Friday. Ruben Queal and wife are home f rom Florida. D. T. Wilcox is visiting his brother at Wheatfield. L. L. James and M. E. Sill have gone on a duck hunt up the lakes. George Schuniaoher, of Detroit, was here Snuday last. Miss Edith Warren will clerk in Davis Brothers' dry goods sotre on Saturdays. Rev. Baumgardner, of Chicago, preached at the Congregatioual Church in Webster Sunday. James Lyman and wife spent Thursday in Chelsea. Chris. Talyor, of Gregory, spent Wednésday and Thursday with his cousins. B. Green and wife visited friends at Hamlrarg Thursday. Mrs. C. Carpenter is entertainiug friends from Mason. Mrs. J. Bell is spending a few days wit ii friends neax Piuckney. E. H. Carpcuter spent the Sabbath at home. William Gregory has purchased a fine driving horse. Art Miles vais in Chelsea Friday. William Hooker, of Pettysville, spent the Sabbath here. E. A. Goodwin, of Ann Arbor, was a Suuday guest of the Carpenters. F. S. Van Alley and wife eutertained the young people of the Baptist church Friday night. Mr. W. Weeks and wife, of Napoleon; Mrs. Kate Wiard and Mr. Lee Yachley, of Ypsilanti, were guests of Mr. Bnchalen aud wife. Alva Steger, of Chelsea, made us a cali Wednesday. Miss Reade is the guest of her grandmother in Hamburg. William Ballon made a flying trip to Pettysville Tuesday. John Doody was in Chelsea Thursday. Mrs. Guinon and family have moved in part of Mr. Thompson house. Nicholas Ried will sell his stock and farmiug tools at public auction on Wednesday, April 17. Mss Miiinie Campbell was given a surprise party by a nuiuber of her íriends ljost Friday evening. Dancing! was iurLulged in and the young people I had a good time.
