[OFFICIA!-.) Office Board of Public Works, i Arm Arbor, May 1, 1895. f Regular session. Called to order by President Clark. Roll called.- Present, Pres. Clarki Bullis. Absent.- Mr. Schuh. Nelson J. Kyer applied to the Board for permission to use a portion of Williams street for building materials and upon tüotion of Mr. Kullis the same was granted. Pres. Clark moved that John Wisner be aLowed to remove a building along the public streets. Yeas- Pres. Clark, Bullis. Nays- Noiie. Pres. Clark moved that Herman lutzel be notified to meet the Board f Public Works at the Board of Pubic Works room, Thursday, May 2nd, 895. at 9 o'clock a. m. Yeas- Pres. Clark, Bullis. Nays- None. The bid of Arthur Brown for furnshing two car loads of White Swamp Oak plank was opened and upon moion of Mr. Bullis was referred to the Council for their consideration. The bids of C. H. Stevens, George Lim, D. Hunt, and A. D. Markham or building a side walk on S. Seventh treet were opened. Pres. Clark moved that the bids be aid upon the table until some defintie pecifications relative to building sidewalks are adopted. Yeas- Pres. Clark, Bullis. Nays - None. Mr. Bullis moved that the estímate f completed work of contractor Herman Hutzel in sewer district number submitted by the City Engineer be approved and referred to the Council. Yeas- Pres. Clark, Bullis. Nays - None. Mr. Bullis moved that the recommendation of the Street Commissioner for rebuilding and repairing certain sidewalks in the city be referred to the Council for their consideration. Yeas- Pres. Clark, Bullis. Nays- None. Pres. Clark moved the approval of the street and sewer bilis for April. Yeas- Pres. Clark, Bullis. Nays - None. Pres. Clark submitted the following communication to be referred to the Council: Ann Arbor, May lst, 1895. Po the Honorable Common Council: Gentlemeo.- October 1, 1894, the Council concurred in the recommendation of the side walk committee and ordered the Board of Public Works to build cement crossings along Liberty, north side of A shley and south side of Second streels. In the absence of any action by your honorable body we shall procecd at an earlv day to construct the same However. we reítard a cement walk across Ashley as especially dangerous.
