Suggests A New Chinese Treaty
Washington, May 23.- Minister Denby at Pekín, in a letter diseussing the lessons of the China war, has submitted nineteen articles which he think-i should be adopted in order to further trade relations and to insure greater protection to foreign interesta in China. Ie is understood that these suggestions are made with a view to having a new commercial treaty made with China, although the minister suggests, in each inetance, that the advancages desired be grantod to foreigners without particularizing the United States. Some of the advantages asked, it is understood, hav.! been incorporated in the treaty between China and Japan.
