TIakbop. Spbings, Mich., May 30.- For oyer a year ie has been asaorted that a sea sBipiiiii Uuqunnted Grand Traverse bay and norcheru Lake Michigan. The serpent was seen by passengers on the ferry Adrienne. As soon as the boat touohed at the wharf here j, crowd oí excited passen gers rushed uptown and hustled a photographer aboard the boat and it put out in the biiy. Kight opposite the point a dark-looklng object was aeen in the water and Williams aimed his camera at it. The thing began to move, and as It did so Williams snuppeil the camera. The result of this is a very fair photograph of Küinething that looks like the larga branch of a tree. The head of the object was buried in the water. Williams tried to get a second picture, but was uusuecessful. Captain Cnrysler corroborates the story, as he stood next to Williams when the view was takon. The serpent has been seen twicu since by more than asoore of fishermen.
