COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE MAYOR. Mayors Office, June 19, 1895. Glen V. Mills, City Clerk : Yon will please give notice that there will be a special meeting of the Common Council Thursday evening, Jnne 20, for the purpose of devising means of lowering and repairing the bridge over the M. C. B. R. The question of who is to keep it in repair will be argued bef ore the supreme oourt next Friday and the attorneys in the case will be at the meeting and explain matters. W. E. Mills, City Clerk : Cali a special session of the Common Conncil to be held at the council chamber Thursday.June 20,1895,at 8 o'clock p. m. , to consider the contract and bond of Henry Collins, of Detroit, for building lateral sewers in districts No. 3 and 4. Charles E. Hiscock, President of the Council and acting Mayor. By Aid. Allmendinger : Resolved, that the railroad bridge on Beakes street over the Michigan Central tracks be closed until it is safe for public travel. Adopted as follows : Yeas - Aid. Moore, Maynard, Allmendinger, Koch, Snyder, Butterfield, Presdent Hiscock - 7. Nays - Aid. Laubengayer, Brown, Shadford, Coon, Cady - 5. COMMUNICATI0H8. FROM THE BOARD OP PUBLIC WORKS. To the Common Council : The Board of Public Works wotild respectfully report that in pursnance of the resolution of the Common Council of June 12, 1895, directing the Board of Public Works to enter into a contract for building lateral sewers in Districts No. 3 and No. 4. The Board on Wednesday, June 19, 1895, closed a contract with Mr. Henry Collins for building lateral sewers in districts No. 3 and No. 4. We also accepted and approved his bonds in the sum of $30,000.00. We herewith submit the contract and bonds for your approval and confirmation. By order of the Board of Public Works. Glen V. Mills, Clerk. By Aid. Brown : Resolved, that the bond of Henry Collins, of Detroit, for building lateral sewers in districts No. 3 and 4 with the National Surety Co., of Kansas City, Missouri, as surety, be approved and conftnned by this council. Adopted as f ollows : Yeas - Aid. Moore, Maynard.AUmendinger, Koch, Snyder, Laubengayer, Brown, Shadford, Ooon, Butterfield, Cady, President Hiscock - 12. Nays - None. On rnotion the Council adjourned. Clerk.
