Lincoln, Aug. 29.- At least 500 delegates wero in attendance at the Populist state convention. The most prominent eaders of the party - United States Semor Allen, ex-United States Senator Va wiek, Campbell, of Fremont, Hoaton of Kearnoy, and others were present, with a largo following of representativo Populista of the country. Samuel Maxwell was norninated for supremo judge and Janees K. Thurston and E. W. Peattio for nni versity regenta. Salt Lake City, Ang. 89.- The Utah Republiean eonvention nominated D. BE. Wells for governor and C. S. Zane, J. W. Bartch and J. Y. .Minor for supremo judges.
