Chicago, Oct. 3. - The polioe were asked to look for John Mclntyre, who was a delégate to the recent Irish convention held in this ciry. Mclntyre áttended one caucus. Since then he has disappeared as mysteriously and completely as though the earth had opened and swallowed him. Delégate John B. O'Higgins of Boston, who remained behind to search for hls missing confrère, received a message early in the morning f rom Mclntyre asking him to come to a house on the north side. The rest is best told by Mr. O'Higgins: "Ifound," said he, "that Mr. Molntyre has been 111 with typhoid fever ever since he disappeared Sept. 28. He was unconscious up to Tuesday, whioh explains why we did not hear from him. He says that on the day he disappeared he went to the house where he now is to visit relativos. He was taken ill and that ends what looked like a mystery. "We thought he had been foully dealt with, because he had about $400 with him when he went away." Mclntyre registered at McCoy's hotel Sept. 20 as from Washington, D. C, but his home is belioved by Mr. O'Higgins to be in Scranton, Pa.
