Snpervisor Soott made a motion tbat the vaults be built at a cost uot to exceed $1,000. Tho motinu was lost on au aye and nay vote. It is eedless to say to the taxpayers of Washteuaw oounty that in case of fire the records in the register of doeds office, should the fire reach them, could not bo replaced for less thaia $ö0,000.
