The late Hjalmar Hjorth Boyesen i was once asked why he didn't sirnplify the spelling of his name so as to ruake it less perplexing for the average American. The inquirer was infornied that it was a fine Norwegian uarne in the flrst place, and, secondly, that it was worth a good many dollars to its possossor as a distiuetive trademark for his hterary wares.
