Prof. O. M. Fnlleris on the sick list. Allen Forsythe is home for a two weeks' vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Gnrnie, of Grand Rapids, have been visiting relatives and friends here. Miss Anna Chase is spending her vacation with her únele, A. Miller, near Ypsilanti. The school bard has purchased a new fnrnaoe to be put in during the holiday vacation. Mr. and Mrs. S. Hale visited friends near Belville a few days last week. The Mooreville high school has organized a Lyceum in conneotion with tbeir school work, and the scholars are now busy raising a magazine fund for ■work on current topics. The high school rhetorio class discussed the subject of novel reading last Friday. There are five boys and fivegirls in the class. The girls had the affirrnative side of the question. They all prepared essays, and according to the judges the negativo side beat in the reading by oue point, but the affirniative carne out ahead in the after debate, whioh though short was quite exoiting.
