The Ann Arbor Typographical nnion gives a dance next Thnrsday evening. It will bea"two niok' affair, in Roman style, Antique music, extended cotillions, condensed snpper, and light faced leaders. There'll be no lockup, and no press work. Attorney Norris advises the Ann Arbor school board that dogs in that city can be taxed twice the same year, and the school board will take steps to compel the supervisors to tax dogs at least once. Why tax a dog? It is taxation without represen tation and there isn't a dog in Anu Arbor that wonld pay the tax anyway. They wonld whine and growl, aud then some one would be obliged to pay it for them. No use to tax dogs. Better cur tail expense.
