Negro Boy Arrested
Chas. B. Andersou, a colored boy residing with his mother on Vollaud street, was arrested Sunday night, being taken out of bed to be taken to jail. Auderson's arrest and reason for it were not without incident. On Saturday night one of J. H. Nichells' hounebold on State street discovered a boy bnsy at the look and eudeavoring to gain an entrance into the room. The lady, who was Mr. Nicbells' daugbter-inlaw, gave the alarm and Mr. Nichells caught the boy. However.the lad made a lively tustle and, puiling hiinself out of this coat, bade Mr. Nichell i a farewell rnuch more hasty than polite. Marshal Peterson Saturday nighi saw young Anderson at the Salvation Army. He was not sure that he was the boy that was wanted but thought him of a subterfuee bv which be might fmd out. He asked young AuderRon to deliver a note í'or him to Oflicer Isa bel. The lad took the note but failerl to d9liver it. This was considered snfficient proof of Anderson's guilfc to lock hiin ap and his arrebt was accomplished Sumlay. He was later irtentified as the fellow who had attenipted the burglary.
