About two hundred people witnessed the iaues on Friday afteruoon. Mr. Mack, of Sylvan, greeted old frieuds Friday. Over Rixty conplea attended the dance Friday night. Frank Reason, of Pinókney, will give a phonograph conoert at the White school honse near Hudson on Taesday evening, Jan. 28. Admissioa 10 and 16 cents. The "old maids" of th;s village give a leap year dance in the near future. Miss Mildred Haines, of Romuius, is spending the winter with her cousin-1 aud other friends. Mrs.Habb and f amily visited atChelsea on Sunday. Mr.Aokerson, of Chelsea, was on our streets one day last week. . A new hardware store in this village is soon to bo opened. A number of young people from this village attended a dancing party at John Clark's near Four Mile Lakc Tuesday evening. Fred Stabler, of Fosters, was on our streets Tuesday. Messrs. Geo. , Thos. and Chas. Bell passed through this place to Ann Arbor Friday. Mr. Watts, of Ann Arbor, made us a cali Tuesday. Mr. Phelps was in Landng for a few days last week. Miss Monks, of Pinckney, was in town Friday and Saturday. Miss Carrie Fleming is horue after a ríx months" stay with her sister in Chicago. Mr. Fagan and family, of Hambnrg, spent Friday in this village. Miss Nellie W eeler has gone to visit , aer aunt in the oouniry. Mr. Andre8S wás at the county seat on business this week. L. L. James was in Ann Arbor last Friday. Mr. Deuges aud wife were guests of friends in Ann Arbor the last of the week. Mr. Tnffs and wife entertained rela;ives from out of town Thursday. Mrs. Sackett and daughter were in Ann Arbor the latter part of the week. A party of young people met at the home of Wert Carpeuter and sister recently and had an njoyable time. Danoing was kept up till a late hour. Mike Gavin, of Ann Arbor, whohas been visiting his annt in this village, is spending a few days near Birkett with old assoaoiates. Miss Reasow, of Pinckney, and friend of Ann Avbor, were Sunday guests with friends. Mrs.. M. Fohey, of Pinckney, spent the Sbbath with her sister and familya.
