A stronger attack upon the liquor traffic could not be made than is contained in the following lines written by a Washington saloon keeper to his wife jnst before he coinraitted suicide after a drunken debauoh: "Dear Wife - Qive all the blame to the business we went into unadvisedly. " The writer of those words was once a respected business man. He went into the saloon business, and now his body lies in a drunkard's grave.
