Gospel meetings are to be held teu nights at the M. E. ehnroh, Willis, commeneing Teusday evening, March 24. Mrs. Henry Hammond is visiting her parents, Mr. aud Mrs. Albert Draper. Greorge Haminond, who has had ceiebro-spmal meningitis, is so he is to be out again. W. S.Day was a delégate to the Sunday school convention, held at Uhelsea. Miss Effle Wate's sohool has olosed for the winter. She has the spring term to teach again at the Isiand school honse. The entertainment given at Willis under tue supervisión and effort of Allie Day, Jr.,was a decided success. The proceeds were given to the Ij. A. society. The Eev. Mr. Caldwell, of Ann Arbor, has decided to remain pastor of the Coiigregatinal church of Augusta for anothör year. Mrs. Jackson, f rom Milán, was visiting at Chas. Dickerson's on Satnrday last. Mrs. Mary Sherman, of Eaton's Mills, has moved to Detroit. Robert Wilson, formerly in tbe Willis Potter house, has moved into D. Kusseü's house in Willis. John Thompson has moved onto tbe late Marve Strong place beyond Belleville. The Augusta cheese f actory will begin making ceese thefirst Monday in April. Fred Srnith has rsturned to Indiana and will go to a new pastorate at Moreland. We presume the Roentgen rays would penétrate through the side of a house aud photograph a life likeness of peo pie under the bed when they did not wish to receive coinpany. We regret to hear that Mr. Eugeue Childs and family, also Miss Alma Childs, are to leave tbe old homostead, and the society where they have been faithful workers in the chnrcb. They are snrely needed, but may onr loss be some other cborch's gain. For over eight years Miss Alma has oared for a motber who bas been almost entirely helpless from paralysis. Her hands have ministered to that mother as none otber conld. Bnt the feeble frame ■weakened and God said : "It is enough, come np higher. " Mrs. Hannah Cbilds has bten beloved by all. Patiënt through all those long years of snffering, bnt peaoefully sleeping now.
