Says Cleveland's A Conundrum
New York, April 9. - An informal meeting of Cubiin leaders was held at the Hotel America Tuesday night. The possibility of Cuban belligerency being ac'tually recognized in the near future by President Cleveland was discuased at length. All seemed to be sanguine of the disposition of congresa to pass a joint rosolution which would insure action on the part of the president. "Mr. Cleveland," said Mr. Portuondo, "is the great politioal conundrum of the present time. We can only pursue our unequal scruggle on the islaud and continue to hope. We hava done that from the beginning, and have muoh in the shapo of results to encourage us."
