At the meeting of the board of public works Wednesday aight the city attorney was direoted to begin proceedings 'or abolishing wbat is known as the Innter pond, on W. Washington street. This pond is a nnisance to that neighborhood. The Electric Iiight Co. was granted )ermission to remove its wvres froni Vliller ava. and a part of Liberty st. in rder to avoid trees. A recommendation was made to the ouncil to have bridges 1 and 2 over the ïuron river re-plaaked.
