Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Hammond visited Iriends last week at Flat Rook. There will be a grand oonoert given n the evening of May 23 at the Willis if. E. ehuroh. Adulta, 15 cents; ohilren, 10 oents. Whit Kane and wife visited friends ast Snnday in New Boston. Mr. Noble, who preached in the Prienda' church last winter, preached lis farewell sermón on Snnday evening ast. He will be greatly missed by all. Je goes Tnesday morning to Colorao, where he intends laboring all alone mong the inining camps. May he be bundantly blessed in his labors as he goes to spread the gospel of peace. Last Sunday was quarterly meeting nd several ministers from Adrián were present. It is rumored that the ladies of Wills and vicinity are trying to get mem)ers enough for a Hive of L. O. T. M. Wm. Ostrander's mili is not grindng at present. Mr?. N. Hammond has returned to ïer old home after a sojonrn of two weeks with her son, Morris Hammond. Miss Clara Lord has gone to spend he summer with relatives in Iowa. Will Swayzee is gaining at present and we hope it may be permanent. Mrs. H. M. Abbey was visiting her daughter, Mrs. G. W. Hammond, last week. Mrs. Abbey is in her 85th year. She retains all her faculties wonderfully. except her hearing. Years ago she sat up with a dyingfriend and oonracted a terrible cold iu her head, 'rom which her hearing has never per!eotly returned, and grows more and more serious as time goes on. Wm. Ward and wife, of Milan, were at Friends' ohurch last Sabbath. Mrs. Ward's ohildhood days were spent in Augusta and she had all her early Sunday school training at the Ypsilanti Friends' church. It is nice to meet old friends once more. Their daughter, Mrs. Lnoile Robinson, wasalso present. Miss Mabel McFall and brother, of Ypsilanti, have been visiting their grandfather, John Jewell. There was a surprise party at John Wright's, last Monday evening to bid a long farewell to their late pastor, Mr. Noble. Charles Thompson has had a very siok horse, caused by over feeding. This has not been a contagious disease the past winter, however. Charley remember your neighbors' horses, which have been gnawiug the rnoss all off the rail fenoes.
