Newpoet, Ky., May 7. - Bef ore the trial of Soott Jackson was resumed Wednesday it was learned that W. R. Trusty, who bad been under bond for his appearance, had left. All efforts up to noon failed to get any trace of him. His bond had explred Tuosday night and by mistake was not renewed. He is wanted on the charge of perjury for his tesbimony for the defense. Seward, the detective who coached Trusty, is still under bond, but knows nothing about the latter. The forenoon was spent exaraining Conductor Akers to impeach Trusty, and A. J. Clark, Charles Owens, B'rank Rebstock, Anna and J. R. Pinkard as to George Jackson' s testimony waa corroborated. The testimony oC Carrie Evans of the tenderloiu district In Cincinnafci left quito a sensation when the noon recess was taken. Trusty tostified he met hor at 10 p. m. Jan. 31, and was inti'o.luocd to an old doctor by her, and thivt thoy took the body of Pearl Bryan out of a house on George street and conveyed it across tho river to Fort Thomas. Carrie Kvans testified Wednesday ihat she never eaw Trusty until April 3, one inonth ago. She was then introduced by John Seward, the detective, who drilled her and Trusty for witnesses for the defense in this trial. She testifled to knowing nothing whatever about the case, except her rehearsals with Soward and Trusty.
