The Fourth Of July

There is some prospect of Ann Arbo having a Fourth of July celebration this year. There has been a growing feeling amongniany of oar citizens that a regular oíd time celebration of independence day would be just the thing for the city and as a consequence a paper was put in ciiculation Mooday afternoon and Tuesday morning among the business men to have a meeting and talk the matter over. The names of 64 business men and firms were secured and a meeting will be held at 7 :30 o'clook this evening in the court house to make the necessary arrangements, appoint committees, etc It is to be hoped that the meeting tonight will be well attended and that everyone will take hold of the matter with a will and help to bring it to a successfnl issue. "In union there is strength" and in no place will this axioni be better exemplified tban in the present one. If all will join hands and work towards a oommon end Ann Arbor can have a Fourth of July celebration this year that will be worthy of name and place.
