Deficit In Iowa

Des Moisés, May 14. - The general assembly which h;is just adjourned left the state and íts treasury in a sad condition and the problem of a deficit of from S5Ü,000 to $200,000 will have to be faced before long. That is admltted by the state auditor and state trcasurer. The deficit is caused because the receipts were overestimated and the overestimate was appropriated by the general assembly. It is probable that the deficit will interfere with. the proposed extra legislative sessiou.
