Will Not Celebrate This Year
Very few of the 64 people whose narnes were on the cali for a meeting to consider the advisabüity of celebrating the Fourth of July in Ann Arbor this year, were present at the raeetiug last Friday nigbt. Those who were there concluded that the lack of interest in the affair was too apparent to warrant them taking any steps in the matter. They werp, however, flrmly oí the opinión that Ann Arbor shonld have ai big celebration next year, and that it should be held on Saturday, as the Fourth comes on Sunday, so that evrybody oan come to town aud help in inakiag it a snccess. It was also thought best to commence rnaking the arrangements at least six months ahead, in order to secure bands, military companies, etc, bef ore other places oan get in ahead of ds.
