On JFriday moruing Charles Schleicber was arraigned before Justice Pond charged with having again fallen a victiru to his besetting siu of drunkeuness As he was out on suspended sentence Jastiee Pond sent hini to the Detroit house of oorrection fnr 90 days and he was escorted thither by Deputy Wood. Daoiel Tracy, accused of dischargiug a revolver at Mand A. Barhydt on May 22 had his examination on Mouday aud was hbld for trial in the circuit court giving bonds for his appearauce. Dot Trernaine charged with stealing two coats and a pair of pauts from John L. Cox, pleaded guilty to the charge and was sentened to 10 days in the oounty jail, Monday. Jacob Kies, of the third ward, was arraigued for assaulting hiswife, Pauline Kies, Monday, and plead guilty and was sentenced to pay a fine of $5 and costs, $5.70, which he paid and was discharged. Edgar T. Hawley, a law student was arrested Monday on complaint of VVm. S. McCluskey, also a Jaw student, charged with the larceny of a coat, pair of gloves, grip and 30 worth of law books. The case was adjourned until Weduesday and was theu again adjourned until next Mouday at 9 a. m. In default of bail the young man languishes in jail. Fraucis G. Anspach and Duane E. Salsbury were arrested Mouday on complaint of Arthur W. Rhinehart cnarged with receiving a volume of Clark's Criminal Procedure, knowiDg it to be stolen, selling it and dividing the money between them. It was cbarged that the book was stolen by Edgar T. Hawley. Both young men were remanded for examirjation uutil Monday next Anspach was released frorn custody on bail. Salsbury was remanded to jail in default of bail. Christian Seyfried for not keepiag his saloon closed on Sunday waived exatnination Tuesday and was bouud over for trial in the circuit court . Frederick Ehnis for being drank ou the streets and very abusive on Monday uight was arrested by Deputy Sheriff Bail. He had his trial Tuesday and was sentenced to pay $3 fine and $4.70 costs or go to jail for ten days. He paid. Jacob J. Dupper charged with selling liquor without having paid hia tax and filed his bond was brought into justice court yesterday and his examination was set for next Friday. James Fenuell, who gives his residenoe as Chicago, got drnnk aud abusive Wedoesday afternoon around Detroit and Depot sts. Deputy Sheriff Canfield went down there to try and induce him to be quiet when the young fellow showed fight and piled iuto him. Canfield used handcnff. with a quieting effect on Fennell's head aud he laid down on the sidewalk. He was taken to the jail on a dray. Yesterrï.iy afternoon he was brought up for trial and pleaded guilty to the charge. Having no rnoney he was sentenced to 10 days in jail. Charles Zueru's horse ran away sörue weeks ago and in its wild career ran into one of E. V. Hangsterfer's delivery horses injuring it so much that it died a few days later. The case was tried bef ore a jury on Tuesday afternoon. The evidence showed tbat the horse was worth $76 and the expenses for doctoring it were $17. The jury brought in a verdict for $20.
