Friday evening last was the last date !or degree work in Fraternity Lodge, No. 2G2, F. & A. M.a uutil September and the occasion was celebrated by the raisiug of two fellow oiafts to the M. tf. degtee and a hanquet followed by several good speeches. Rev. Camdeu tf. Cobern and E. T. Alber were the jentlemeu wb.0 received the degree and tbe work was done iu the usual good foriu of Fraternity Lodge, ably issisted by brothers from Golden Rule liodge, No. 159, and Washtenaw Lodge, Dexter. After the work a tootbsorne janquet was beartily enjoyed in the drill hall, for which H. G. Prettymau did the catering. Following the banqaet came speeches from Revs. C. M. Cobern, Henry Tatlock and W. L. Tedrow, Dr. Fleiuming Carrow, E. T. Alber, C. B. Davison, H. B. Dodsley, John W. Benuett, Dr. A. C. Nichols, (reorge H. Pond, Jutius E. Beal, Dr. C.G.Darling and W. H. Cliff, of A berdeen, Miss. JE. VVirt Newkirk, master of Washteuaw Lodge, Dexter, ably officiated as toastmaster, and made some excellent as well as witty remaiks while doins: so. It was a most pleasaut gathering.
