Elector At Large Withdraws

BaltimokE. July 23.- Ranclolph Barton, one of the electoi-s at large on the Democratie ticket in this state, hns announced liis withdrnwal. Mr. Barton, who is a prominent lawyer in this city, has always been regarded as being one of the stanehest Democrats in Maryland. He supported Hurst in the late gubernatorial campaign and h:is never beon known to vote any other than the Democratie; ticket. He declares now. however, that he cannot accept the currency plank in the Democratie national platform, and it is hi3 iutention to vote for MeKinley.
