State Flowers
The following "state flowers have been adopted by the votes of the public school scholars of the respective states : Alabama, Nebraska and Oregon, the goldenrod; Colorado, the columbine; Delaware, the peach blossom; Idaho, the syringa; Iowa and New York, the rose; Mame, the pine one andtassel; Minnesota, the cyprip duni or mocoasin flower; Montana, the bitter root; North Dakota, the wild rose ; Oklahoma teiTitory, the mistletoe ; Utah, the lego lily, and Vcrmont, the red clover. In addition, Ehode Island and Wisconsin iave adopted a state tree, the maple being selected by both.
