Mr. and Mrs. Amos Corey, of Ann Arbor, were called here ths week by the death of her father. Mrs. George Merrill and children lef' Thursday morning for a two weeks visit at her old home in Hastings. Miss Susie and Lewellyu Olsaser, with their cousins from South Lyou, are camping at Base Lake this week. Mr. aud Mrs. Seymour Corey, who have been visiting berparents, Mr. aud Mrs. O. Pryer returned home Thnrsday morning. There will be an ice cream social at the home of Stearns Wheeler, Tuesday evening, Aug. 4, for the benefit of the M. E. churoh. Henry Todd, an oíd resident of this place, died July 26, at the home oï his son, Charles Todd, aged 88 years, 4 months and 8 days. He v?as bom in New Jersey, renioved to N. Y. state at the age of 3 years, lived there until of age when he carne to Michigan, where he has since lived. Seveu years ago his wife died, since which time he has lived with his children, who sarvive him. v
