Claia Bowers bas been ill recently. C. A. Bullard was in town on Thursday. The schoolhouse in District No. O has been repaired. Mrs. Bert E. Smith is visiting friends and relativas in Sharon. Mrs. E. M. Pieroe has been quite ill since her return from Ann Arbor. Miss N9ttie Gillett resumed ehr school daties at Manchester last Monday. Mrs. 'Williarn Rowe and sou Earl, of Detroit, are visiting at Chas. E. Pardee's. The democratie cauens to elect delegates to the county convention was held on Saturday. A rousing free silver rally was held at the town hall, Wednesday evening of last week. Mrs. E. W. Crafts was called to Grass Lake last week to attend the fuueral of her father. Many of our citizens have accounts of greater or less aniount against the defunct Manchester creamery. Mrs. Harriet Bullard, who bas been spending the summer at Wolf Lake, is visiting at Mrs. F. J., Gillett's. Mr. and Mrs. O. A. High. who have been visiting old friends and neighbors here, returning home on Friday. The Misses Lena Trolz and Lydia Seckinger and Will Uphaus and Henry Trolz spent Saturday at Wolf Lake.
