The Willis correspondent of the ïpsilanti Commercial has agaiu been studying his dictionary. He must have devoted some time to the task, too. That is to judge from his writeup of a farmers' pionic in whioh the following phrases occur : "Was from start to finish wbat natural selectiou in beautiful terminals evoked," "the voices of the cboir blending with the canopy of rustling leaves above them seerned to hallow the hour that gave to the people of Augusta the outing that fitted the mind to enter into tne spirit of the farmer that followed." "Mr. Newton Crittenden in response alluded to the faot that infinite procedure had culminated in bountiful harvests that betokened enriching feasts that a grateful world rose to cheer, " "the commensurate joys that follow in the wake of civilization as the farmer goes up the incliued pathway taking the millions with him to banquets that his toil insnres," "in his eulogy of the true patriot he carried bis auditors to the outposts of attained intelligenoe where he gathered up the lanrels of imagery to crown the brow of the object of his adoration."
