The board of supervisors close their auuual sessiou today. Sheriff Judson has not put iu his fee bilis for the year. If his bilis are so small, if he has beeu snob au ecouomical sheriff, why has he not. done so? Is he afraid that the Argas would teil the taxpayers the imouut of the bilis? Why shonld he wait three uionths longer before preseuting the bilis nnless for the faot that election will then bepassed? If be has been as economieal :is the Conrier has tried to make hiin out, why has be not I shown np his bilis so that we oould ) give him due credit? The first uine months' bilis as shown by the supervisors reports, showed do saving. The second year's bilis were not presented. How then, can the Conrier's text this week, "William Judson, as sheriff, bas saved Washteuaw oonnty taxpayers $900 in tWO years. Remember this wheu you vote ou November 3d" be taken as a fact, when no man eau teil what Mr. Judson's bilis since Ootober lst of last year are, until he piesents therĂ¼ for auditing? The only official figures of expenditures dnriug Judson's arimiuistration are those found in the tablea in the supervisors' repoit of last year, published iu the Argus a few weeks ago. It makes au exceedingly bad show ing for Mr, Judsou. Can we theu believe that Mr. Judson failed to present his fee bilis to this session of the board of supervisors unless they are larger than he cares to have the taxpayers kuow about. Every taxpayer should vote for Hirani Lighthall for sheriff.
