Into Ihis form mollen iron was poured, filling up the splice, and upon thia cast iron founaatïon piate the uuderstructure of the building i:ow reats, while the side walls are supporied by a cantalever structure. The ir.ll weight of the load upon the cast iron foundation is estimated at moie Uiuu 20,000
