Aoting on the suggestiou of many of its patrous, tho Ann Arbor Athletio assoeiation will open entries for a wreBtling coDtest for the middleweight champiousbip of Washteuaw oonnty. The association donates a trophy iu the form of a gold medal to coutain 500 grains of pure gold, 18 carat fine, United States assay, subject to the following conditious: g lat, All oontestants mast be resident of the cotinty. 2d, All contestants must uot weigh to exceed 150 pounds at 12 o'clook noou on day of contest. 8d, Contestants must be amateurs only. 4th, In case of protested entries, the burden of proof lies with the party making protest. 5th, The association reserves the rigbt to seleet such entries as they deern proper to make the best match, (ith, The two Kuccessful contestants of the first trial shall compete for the possessiou of the medal at tbe next mouthly exhibition; then the medal to become absolute property of the winner. First grand trial will take place on the night of Jan. 8, 1897, at old Armorv hall, Aun Arbor, Mich. Entiies for th ís and all otber contests to take place on tbat night will close Tuesday, .lan. 5, 1897.
