At least great cbanges in the rnles governing it could be made which woold elimínate muoh of the brutality of the game. And soou the 180 day grind of the state legislature begins. If they could be cbanged into sohools of academie instruction they might be of sorne valne, bnt at present they sirnply afford fat jobs for cronies of the superintendent of pnblio instrnction, with little or no xesnlting benefit to the teachers or the schools.
