Wesley P. Wilson, oí Graud Rapids, and Mibs Beatrice Turner, of Ypsilauti, wanted to surprise tbeir friends last week and planoed a secret marriage to take place at Northville. They botb arrived there and presented themselves before the Methodist olergyinan to have the knot tied. The clergyman asked to see tbe lioense but in the excitemennt of their newly expected bliss they had forgotten to secure tbe couuty clerk's permit, and tbe only tbing left for the groora to do was to drive to Ann Arbor, a distance of 28 miles, for the necessary docnrnent, tbe law reqniriug that the license sball be taken out in tbe connty where one of the oontracting parties resides. Wilson was plucky enongh to do it, however, and arrived back in Northville at 2 o'colck in the morning and they were married before davliaht aad boarded tbe early train for
