A lady passouger in a Great Western traiu in Eugland was much disturbad in her attetiipts at a nap by soma one singing in tlw next eompartnaent, so sho asked the guard to inferiere. Tliat official did so and got laughed at fot bis pains, and tne singing went on. At the next station the hidy sent for tho station master and reqnested liini to sneceed where the gaard had failed. The station master went to the next compartment, aud iruuicdiately retnrned to apologize. "I am very sorry, madam," he said, "but I really cannot ask your neighboi1 to stop einging. tibe is Mniiv Patti." '
