Ottawa. Hls., Jan. 12.- Trouble was antieipated at Rutland Monday, but there was none. Mi. Hakes, owner of the mine, promised the miners a settlement, but failed. The miners went to the office early in the morning expecting to get their money, but were informed that Mr. Hakes was in Chicago endeavoring to borrow sufflcient money to pay them. They returned quietly to their homes.
