To keep oran ges or lemons fresh for any leugth of time select firm oues, wrap each oue in soft paper, put ifc in a glass jar with whito sand that has been previously dried in the oven around each orauge and with a thick layer over the top. The wheat fly is said to have been nearJy as destiuotive to the wheat crops of this country as the Hessiau fly. In Í7 days a lettor from New York will be delivered ia Hougkoug.
