The nniversity calendar will appear aboat the middle of April. Tbere will be no great cbanges either in forin or ooutents, except those changes which are uecessarily made eaoh year. Tbe Oratorioal Assooiation will give a public reception to the Eon. Albert 3. Beveridge, of Indianapolis, this afternoon at 4 o'clock. Mr. Beveridge epoke at the Alger banqoet, in Detroit, last even ing. A vigorons rush oocurred in the dental amghitbeatre Friday moruing between the janior aud freshman dental classes which resulted in the breaking of a door and other minor damages. Sis juniors were suspended from bacteriology and pbysiology for the retuainder of tbe semester by the faculty for tbeir parfc iu tbe affair. The date of the inter-department debate has been ohanged to Saturday, Jan. 30. The affiirnative side of the question will be supported by the liter-' ary stndents and the laws will have tbe negative. Eaob debater will be allowed 18 minutes, the time to be given in the Chicago debate. The winners will receive f50, $30 and $20 regpectively, tsvice as much as in previous debates. The first consignment of books for the law library, purcbased under tbe Buhl beqaest, bas arriyed. Tt is an importataion of 1,000 volumes, mostly English and Soottisb reports. The latter are very valuable and Law bibrarian Vanoe says the department is exceedingly fortĂșnate in being able ;to secure thern. Tbey are very nearly complete and tbe Enlgish reports received complete the library's set of those books. Another consignment will be received in a day or two.
