Ladies' Society Of Zion Church
The animal meeting of tha Ladies' Society oí Zion Lntheran cburoh Thorsday afternoon of last week was the eighth anniversary of the formation of the society and it was largely attended by the ladies; the pastor, teachers and vestry of the coDgregation being also present. Rev. A. L. Nicklas addreased a few remarks to the ladies, in the conrse of which he spoke of the great work they had done for tha cburoh and urged them to reuewed zoal the coming year. He also spoke of their work as a beautiful work. The election of offioers resulted in the oboice of the following: President, Mrs. Cbristiau Maok'; vice president, Mrs. A. L. Nicklas; secretary, Mrs. S. Granpner; treasnrer, Mrs. Fred Schmid; assistent treasnrer, Mrs. J. Koch. Six new merabers were received at the meeting. Ligbt refresbments were served to all present. The society has been of great service to the chnrch, and will oontinue to labor for the welfare of the congregation. Col. Henry S. Dean has beeo drawn as a jurur for the March term of the United States district and circut conrt at Detroit.
